Are you an Employer of the Central-South-West of Ontario and you have recruited at least one Francophone/Bilingual immigrant in the last five years? Submit your application to the Recognition Award for Champion Employers in Francophone immigration!

From October 30th to November 5th, 2016, the annual Francophone Immigration Weekwill be held across Canada. This week is an opportunity to celebrate the contribution of French-speaking immigrants to the vitality and dynamism of Francophone and Acadian minority communities.
To celebrate this week in the Central-South-West of Ontario (CSW), the Réseau de soutien à l'immigration francophone (Francophone Immigration Network) wants organizes with its partners the ‘2016 Recognition Award for Champion Employer in Francophone Immigration’, in order to recognize the contribution of employers in the hiring and retention of francophone / bilingual immigrants in the region.

Who can participate? and how?

To participate in this contest, private employers from CSW will be invited to submit their applications from September 27th to October 23rd, 2016 and to demonstrate, through a form including references, in which area the company excels in relation to the following four criteria:

The employer:
1) has recently hired one or more French speaking / bilingual :
• Skilled foreign workers (international recruitment),
• Immigrants (national recruitment),
• and / or International graduates.

2) demonstrated support to these employees in their immigration or integration process;
3) established partnerships with agencies providing services to newcomers;
4) set diversity management processes within the company.


The selection committee composed of institutional, private and community partners will determine the 4 winners of this edition.

Prizes will be awarded during the closing ceremony of the National Francophone Immigration Week, taking place this year in the London area on Friday, November 4th, 2016.

Documents to be submitted with the Registration Form:

1. A list of employees hired from Francophone immigration including their professional contacts.
2. A photograph showing the diverse work environment;
3. Any other relevant document.
